1. Describe your app
Start in Choicely Studio and say what you want: "a shop app for my skincare brand." You do not need your store connected yet — you will do that next, and the AI will rebuild around your real products once it can see them.

Your Shopify catalog, cart and checkout — in a real native iOS and Android app for your customers. No code, no webview wrapper.
Choicely generates real native code for iOS and Android — not your storefront wrapped in an app shell.
One project maps to both the App Store and Google Play; the Publish Assistant submits to both.
Payments, taxes, shipping rules and discount codes stay in Shopify under your existing setup. Choicely never handles the money.
The app reads your Shopify catalog through the Storefront API, so new products, price changes and inventory updates appear without a new build.
Choicely is not installed from the Shopify App Store and is not billed through your Shopify plan. The app is yours.
The same native platform behind this builder powers fan apps for some of the world’s biggest live-audience events.
Start in Choicely Studio and say what you want: "a shop app for my skincare brand." You do not need your store connected yet — you will do that next, and the AI will rebuild around your real products once it can see them.
In your app’s integrations, choose Connect Shopify. Enter your store domain and paste your public Storefront API access token — you create it in your Shopify admin in about a minute. It works with your-store.myshopify.com and with custom storefront domains.
It must be the public storefront token. Choicely deliberately refuses Shopify Admin API keys and app secrets (shpat_…, shpca_…, shpss_…): anything you paste here is readable inside the published app, and an Admin key would hand every reader your whole store.
One-click store sign-in is on the way. For now the token takes about a minute and works with every store, including custom domains.
Choicely reads your live catalog — collections, product types, variants — and the AI builds your storefront around what is actually in your store. When it looks right, Publish Assistant takes it to the App Store and Google Play.
To turn a Shopify store into a mobile app, connect the store to Choicely: enter your store domain and a public Storefront API access token, and Choicely’s AI builds a native iOS and Android app your customers install — browse, search, product pages, cart, and checkout through Shopify’s own checkout. No code, no webview wrapper. Your Shopify store keeps running exactly as it does now; the app is a second storefront, not a migration.
Version one is a shopping storefront. It shows your full product catalog with search, uses your real collections, product types, variants, inventory and tags, renders native product detail screens rather than web pages in a frame, adds to cart, and checks out through Shopify’s own checkout.
Not in version one:
Orders, payments, taxes, discounts and inventory all stay in Shopify, under the setup you already have. Choicely is the storefront, not a second admin. We would rather tell you that here than have you find it out after you have built the app.
Most Shopify mobile app builders are apps inside the Shopify App Store. That has consequences merchants usually discover late: the app is billed through your Shopify plan, it is bound to your Shopify subscription, and if you uninstall it your mobile app goes with it.
Choicely works differently on purpose. It is not installed from the Shopify App Store and is not billed through Shopify. The app is yours. And because Choicely is a general app platform rather than a commerce-only add-on, your app can carry things a storefront builder cannot — announcements, video, voting, fan engagement — alongside the shop.
Say "build an app for my Shopify store" and Choicely does exactly that. When you connect your store, Studio imports your collection handles and product types, so the AI knows whether it is building for a two-collection skincare brand or a 40-category outdoor retailer. You get a storefront shaped like your catalog, then you refine it in chat — feature a collection, change the home screen, add a video section.
That is the difference between an app builder and a template picker: you are not choosing a layout and pouring products into it.
When the app is ready, the Publish Assistant pre-checks it against Apple’s and Google’s review rules, generates your store listings, and walks the submission into both stores. No Mac, no Xcode, no signing headaches.
Apple charges $99 a year and Google a one-time $25 developer fee — Choicely does not mark those up.
Everything below is backed by the Storefront API permissions Choicely actually asks your store for — nothing here is aspirational.
Not on Shopify? The website to app converter covers the general path, and GitHub to app covers importing straight from a repo. Building something broader than a storefront? See ecommerce apps and the ecommerce app template, or compare plans on pricing.

Not only will it dramatically change the way voting is concluded on our entertainment programmes, and make sports broadcasts more fun and engaging, but will also become one of our most important channels for listening to what our users have to say."
Choicely turns your Shopify store into a working native phone app without code — and the one thing that separates it from a Shopify App Store add-on is whose app it is. Choicely generates a real native iOS app (Swift) and Android app (Java) from a single project, it is not billed through your Shopify plan, and it can carry content well beyond the storefront.
You build and preview for free (300 credits every month, no card); publishing to both stores is the paid step, starting at Premium $25/month. The Publish Assistant handles the parts that usually need a developer — native builds and store submission.

Here’s what each route actually takes — honestly, including where the others make sense.
| Shopify App Store builders | Webview wrapper | Choicely | |
|---|---|---|---|
| How the app is built | Pick and configure a template | Your website in a native shell | Describe it in chat; AI builds it |
| Truly native iOS + Android | Varies by vendor | No — it is your site in a frame | Yes |
| Billed through your Shopify plan | Typically yes | No | No |
| Survives leaving Shopify’s App Store | No | n/a | Yes |
| Content beyond the shop | Commerce only | Whatever the site has | Yes — video, voting, announcements |
| Starting price | From $99/mo to $1,000/mo across the five vendors checked below | Varies by vendor | $25/month, credit-based |
| Store submission | Vendor-managed | You do it | Publish Assistant |
What this is and isn’t: Choicely does not run your Shopify theme inside an app — it builds a native storefront that reads your live catalog through Shopify’s Storefront API, which is why the result performs like a real app rather than a page in a frame. Your Shopify store keeps running untouched, and checkout stays in Shopify. If a Shopify App Store add-on billed through your Shopify plan is genuinely what you want, that is a real option too — we’d rather tell you that than sell you the wrong thing.

Yes. Choicely connects to your store through Shopify’s Storefront API and builds a real native iOS and Android app around your catalog — customers browse, search, open product pages, add to cart and check out. No coding, and your Shopify store keeps running exactly as it does now.
In Choicely Studio you enter your store domain and paste a public Storefront API access token, which you create in your Shopify admin in about a minute. It works with your-store.myshopify.com and with custom storefront domains. It must be the public storefront token: Choicely refuses Shopify Admin API keys and app secrets on purpose, because anything you paste is readable inside the published app. One-click store sign-in is on the way; the token method works with every store today.
Today: your full catalog with search, collections, variants, inventory and tags; native product screens; add to cart; and checkout. Not yet: customer accounts or login inside the app, order history, admin/inventory/order management, and push notifications triggered by orders. Version one is a shopping storefront, and we would rather say so up front.
Checkout runs through Shopify’s own checkout. Payments, taxes, shipping rules, discount codes and orders all stay in Shopify under your existing setup. Choicely never handles the money.
No. Choicely is not installed from the Shopify App Store and is not billed through your Shopify plan. That is deliberate: your app does not depend on a Shopify subscription tier, and it is not limited to commerce — you can add announcements, video, voting and other content a commerce-only app builder cannot.
No — that is Shopify’s own admin app, and it is for you. This is the opposite: a shopping app for your customers, under your own brand, that you publish to the App Store and Google Play. Your customers install it to shop; you keep managing the store in Shopify exactly as you do today.
Those are template-based builders inside the Shopify App Store, billed through Shopify and commerce-only. With Choicely you describe the app you want in chat and the AI builds it around your real catalog; the result is a true native iOS and Android app that is yours, and it can carry content well beyond the storefront. On price, checked on each vendor’s own pricing page on 14 August 2026: Tapcart starts at $500 a month, Superfans at $1,000 a month, and Shopney at $149 a month. Choicely is $25 a month, credit-based, and free to build and preview.
No. The app reads your live Shopify catalog, so new products, price changes and inventory updates appear without a new build and without resubmitting to the app stores. If you restructure your collections, refresh the imported catalog in Studio so the AI sees the new shape.
Building and previewing is free — 300 credits a month, no card. Paid plans are $25/month Premium and $50/month Business, credit-based. Apple charges $99/year and Google a one-time $25 developer fee. The output is a real native iOS and Android app published to the App Store and Google Play — not a website in a wrapper.
