How to add Firebase Studio vibe coded features to Choicely-built apps

Here's how to create custom features with Google Firebase Studio and add them to native mobile apps built with Choicely

Let’s vibe code a new feature with Google Firebase Studio, and instantly add it to a native mobile app with Choicely!

You can do it with 3 simple steps:

  1. Setup

  2. Connecting the app

  3. Vibe coding & integration

Step 1: Setup

In Choicely Studio, start by going to Manage Account. We need to generate an API key to let your app talk to Firebase Studio.

Open API Access and create a new key.

Name it 'Firebase Studio.' Then, add a new rule: set Content Type to 'Apps' and Access Type to 'Read & Write.'

Hit Create, and copy that key—you’re going to need it in a second.

Now, go to Apps and click on the name of your app.

In this App Builder view, go to the right side to the “Firebase Studio” section and click “Open in Firebase Studio

Step 2: Connecting the app

When Firebase Studio loads, paste in the API key you just created. Give your workspace a name and click Create to load your project.

You can download the APK for Android here if you want.

3. Vibe coding & integration

Now you’re ready to vibe code! Simply type a prompt – like this puzzle game idea – and you can add a few reference screenshots. Review the suggestion from Firebase Studio and confirm it if it looks good. Now watch your feature generate!

Write “release” and enter in the chat to activate the update.

Once you’re happy with it, copy the feature link.

Head back to Choicely Studio to go live. Select your app, go to Navigation, and add a new item. Choose Special as the type, and paste your Firebase link here.

And you're done!

Your new feature is now live for testing across Choicely, Firebase, and emulators.

Any changes you make are instant. If you change the color of your app’s top bar for example, you'll see it update immediately across the Studio, the widget, and your phone.

Keep testing and refining! When you're ready, you can publish your native Android and iOS app for free, you only pay once your app starts growing!
